- Despondent over his breakup with Desiree, Zia slashes his wrists and goes to an afterlife peopled by suicides, a high-desert landscape dotted by old tires, burned-out cars, and abandoned sofas. He gets a job in a pizza joint. By chance, Zia learns that Desiree offed herself a few months after he did, and she's looking for him. He sets off with Eugene (an electrocuted Russian rocker) to find her, and they pick up a hitchhiker, Mikal, who's looking for the People in Charge, believing she's there by mistake. They're soon at the camp of Kneller, where casual miracles proliferate. They hear rumors of a miraculous king. Can Zia find Desiree? Then what? Where there's death there's hope.
One of the best films I've seen, lately! Sort of an afterlife-roadmovie-dramedy, with really nice characters. Eugene is based on the singer of the band Gogol Bordello, whose music you can hear in the film, and Kneller is played by Tom Waits, the man who I, as I've probably said before, want to be when I grow up. Also, on a side note: Shannyn Sossamon is really quite pretty, which only adds to the overall experience.
9/10 (I mean, it won't change your life, but it's still pretty great.)

| ok But I dont know, you want that every time a new one get posted/voted, we replace it on the portal I mean I think once one get voted, it should remain there all week or not? And if every time, some new gets voted, then we will have too much backlog Sorry, maybe it's me been slow (probably is ) but I dont get it... | |

| Jeeeeeeez Chrisy, you ARE slow!!!!!! I'll try to explain it one more time 1. We chose 1 "Review of the Week" a week 2. Everyone can post the review they think is best suited for that weeks "Review of the Week" 3. When the first review (for the coming week) is posted, people either (a) agree and don't post any other reviews, or (b) disagree, and post the review THEY think is best. In case of (a) the review automatically becomes "Review of the Week" on Saturday In case of (b) people can vote which review they like best and the review with the most votes becomes "Review of the Week" on Saturday This way, we have 1 "Review of the Week", with a real simple system to select it | |

there is a saying that goes "all pleasures lead to perversions"... that goes tenfold for this sick, twisted, debacherous, sleazy, sordid, over-the-top XXX fetishporn-horror-hybrid monstrosity of a 70's B-monument! now, at the severe risk of being banned, I'll give trying to review this rare cult-epic a go! because... THE PEOPLE NEED TO BE INFORMED!!! Razz
normal people, who dont know what an enema is... CLICK CLICK CLICK!!!
the plot...
Burt, a depraved sicko, witnesses a girl being given an enema as a punishment in an underground sexjoint! This inspires him to to fill a backpack with all kinds of enema-nozzles and tubes, and go on a mission, to rape "filthy" streetcornerprostitutes and "evil" tramps, but not before they are cleansed thorougly by means of a good ol' enema!!!
review...
now, it's a XXX movie and all the actors in this atrocity are pornactors! The acting in this harsh and vile movie is actually pretty good! that goes especially for the guy playing sicko Burt (looking at it from the B-side of cinematics, offcourse!)! There is also some typical fukkin' 'n sukkin' going on, but never very erotic nor arrousing... more the rape kinda thing! Neutral But all this isn't really important! What IS of importance, are the ENEMAS, offcourse!!! if you are ever forced to watch this movie (or are a devious twisted filthy bastard like me and watch it volunteerly Razz ), I guarantee... you WILL be amazed by the astonishing amounts of liquid pumped up woman's asses in this film! Shocked I didn't know that a colon could hold these almost industrial amounts of water!!! Laughing and most importantly... all enemas performed in this sleazy MF, are 100 percent guaranteed REAL!!!! Shocked Razz now, for being a 70's XXX movie, the camerawork, story and moodsetting are actually very well done! and that is TRULY something rare...
my conclusions?
well... if you are one sick, sordid puppy and into fetish-exploitation movies of the sleaziest kind... THIS ONE MIGHT BE THE ONE FOR YOU!!! Twisted Evil youīll find it a pretty amusing and sometimes hilarious piece of work...
if you are into enema/clyster-fetishes and rape ( pale )... THIS ONE IS A WET DREAM COME TRUE!!! ...youīll need a box of tissues!!! Rolling Eyes
if you are a normal person, that likes good movies... STAY AS FAR AS POSSIBLE AWAY FROM THIS FILM!!! trust me!!!!!! this is SOOOOO NOT the one for you! Razz
personally, I'd give it a decent 7/10!!! (yeah, yeah... one sick, sordid puppy I am!!! Very Happy )
It has never been released on DVD as far as I know... if I ever come across a DVD of this one... Iīd buy it ON SIGHT!!! Laughing it's one of a kind!!! Unfortunately there are virtually no info, pics, clips or trailers findable on the net, only IMDB and WIKI
oh yeah... this movie is actually loosly based upon REAL EVENTS!!! Suspect Razz
the world is a deviant, sick place... juuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuust the way I like it!!! Laughing
Fighting lol!
the director, shaun costello (also known for B XXX Kult hit "forced entry" )...
This review really makes me want to see this movie! So, it's up for Review of the Week! /only added the text cause I'm in a bit of a hurry, click the link to see the whole review!

| Well obvisously if you chose a review it is because it motivated you to see the movie, this is indeed what this is about... But yes I get your point It is just that we want to include one review different each week on the portal | |

- In an imaginary dictature of a futuristic world, rebellion has broken out. The men in power scramble to the Bunker Palace Hotel, a bunker built long ago for just this kind of contingency. But a rebel spy sneaks in, and although her nature is very quickly suspected, she is left to observe the raving of the decadent power class, who keeps wondering what happened to their leader, who has failed to show up
Great Same director as the more famous and more recent Immortel (ad vitam). I wouldn't have guessed cause it is totally different. Immortel is just a movie with good special effects and a very bad nearly non existent scenario (crap if you ask me) and Bunker Palace Hôtel is a movie with no special effects but a genius work in every other aspects Cause no, that I'm convinced of, you dont need special effect to have a good sci-fi movie. Here you have everything: the futurist ambiance, the robots (played by humans), the appocalyps story... I really like this movie. It is a bit slow from time to time but it didn't bother me at all. I really loved that you dont really know where they are, in which year, who these people really are, you just get a glimps of a moment in time. Strange kaos atmosphere, nice music, brilliant acting and intriguing story. Defenetly one to discover
(and I secretly wished this would have been directed by Jeunet, dont know why, I thought about him a few times during the movie, he would have turned it into a even greater piece)
(Trailer in French but watch it anyway )
