Talking about Naissance des Pieuvres and its simliarity with Fucking Åmål reminded me that that I didn't see this one yet. The only one I still had to watch from Lukas Moodysson. We actually have a topic about him Here

although maybe his less good movie imo
It is first movie and we can see that his style is not really mature or something. It is daring but not daring enough, not dark enough or something. Also the very last scene could have been better
But yes, it is still really nice to watch, realistic and sweet. And if you dont know Moodysson, probably the easiest movie to discover his world!

the "sweet" is the thing that ruins the movie a bit... it should have been rather harsh and vile!

this said, indeed still a watchable and deep enough movie, but I think not really an introduction to the real Moodysson-style!
