| ——› COOKERS (IMDB)‹—— - Quote :
- After stealing a huge stash of drugs, speed freaks Hector (Brad Hunt) and Darena (Cyia Batten) plan to cook up an enormous batch of crystal meth and get rich quick. Hectors old buddy Merle (Patrick McGaw) has the perfect hideout / meth lab, an old abandoned farmhouse in the woods where no one will ever find them.

- Cookers is not a film for everyone, nor do I think that I will ever watch it again. It is a movie that I will always remember, and one that I am very glad that I saw. Although the ending is somewhat weak, it is a relentless and riveting story that will appeal to those with an open mind who are in the mood for something different.
movie about a couple with a shitload of unprocessed ephedrine or something like that they know a place in the outback of a town one of the couple knows, bit of a squat, where they can start cooking it's just a small temporary job with loads of cash involved, so it should be peanuts... quite a nice film to watch once | |

| This movie freaked me out!
It was really intens because of the camera work. The story was nice, but the ending was really strange! And what did we learn? Don't do drugs, drugs are bad!

| if this one freaked you out, i would suggest you to watch The Machinistthe movie he made before The Machinist (Session 9) also has similar ingredients, but less strong/intense | |

| Watched it tonight and I liked it At first, I was not sure I would like it because of the camera film they use, I'm not a big fan of this type of film. Maybe Kryll you will understand what I mean technically? It looks too much like a TV movie or something But then it becomes very absorbing, loved the camera work, loved the paranoia. Didn't find much similarities with The Machinist though (except for the paranoia), finded more things in common with Spun and also Requiem for a dream (e'g: some of the technics used at the end). The tension is excellent imo it gets really intense (looooved that ) The acting could have been a bit better but it's secondary Loved also the end, quite strange and symbolic An anti drug/speed movie for sure but quite inspired O, yes, I have one question, since I had this movie on my computer, I'm seriously doubting about something: are there some image distortions in the movie, I mean real big distortions??? Cause the movie I watched had quite a few, and I really wondered if it was really part of the movie or just a bad quality of mine Now if it is really part of the movie, I love it even more. And if it is just a bad quality, then that is even more awesome cause it was happening at really cool moments so I thought that totally added something to it (yes I'm weird ) | |

Maybe Kryll you will understand what I mean technically? It looks too much like a TV movie or something u mean a Videocamera ? it has less contrast-capacity and because the silicium-chip is rather small, it feels more sharp on the backgrounds plus the "noise" looks more like TV, and less like a grain in the pellicule something like that ? - Chrisy wrote:

| Most chips are silicon, so you weren't particularly wrong | |

| yeah, all CCD's are silicium-based chips, but not all IC-chips are CCD's anyways, just a tiny detail hehe =) | |
