Wow! What a ride, what a movie. I can't help but think Christian Bale deserves better, MUCH better. He already deserved much more credit for Laurel Canyon. He's definitely on my list of brilliant actors now.
I don't want to give away the story, but if you liked Memento or Amores Perros you'll get some sense of the style of story telling: gritty, brooding, shocking.

quite a stunning movie.. surreal psychological thriller that creeps right under your skin

Yes, I really love this movie
When I first saw it, it reminded me a bit of Pi, for the representation of the paranoia of the character. Very very good thriller indeed
