Because the forum is a French version of phpBB, on a French server, but the members aren't all fluent in French (I for one, are a long way from eloquent enough to come up with anything more than "Un croque-monsieur s'il-vous-plait")

We'll have to wait for Chrisy's return to hear if those buttons can be changed to English...

well, actually it doesn't bother me... I'm from Belgium, so that makes me more or less bilingual! Smile My french is quite allright... not great, but I can help myself!!!

I just noticed this, and being bored as I was, I thought... let's make a toppic out of this! Rolling Eyes pig

It is S’il vous plaît Razz
The verb plaire in this case gets accorded with Il and not vous Wink

To answer your question, think Porno explained it good, the forum is on a french version of phpBB. It was just easier for me to build it...
Strange thing is, I have an extra Administration panel which I used to add sub forums and make all type of modifications and everything there is in english
Also what is strange is that The citer (quote) function is in french but the fast reply "preview" and "send" are in english
I just noticed now, I'm not sure why that is Suspect
I dont know if it is possible to change this but I will have a look Smile

the functions and procedures should all be English i suppose (programming conventions and stuff hehe Smile )
if u watch the link in the statusbar (when u hold your cursor over such a button u can read the function behind the buttons in English)
most sites have that in English, & is quite handy imo (for example to be able to navigate on Russian or Korean sites etc.. =)

should be just a matter of assigning a different set of button-images i guess

but the French buttons don't really bother me ;-)
