A tale told over four seasons, starting in autumn when Juno, a 16-year-old high-school junior in Minnesota, discovers she's pregnant after one event in a chair with her best friend, Bleeker. In the waiting room of an abortion clinic, the quirky and whip-sharp Juno decides to give birth and to place the child with an adoptive couple. She finds one in the Pennysaver personals, contacts them, tells her dad and step-mother, and carries on with school. The chosen parents, upscale yuppies (one of whom is cool and laid back, the other meticulous and uptight), meet Juno, sign papers, and the year unfolds. Will Juno's plan work, can she improvise, and what about Bleeker?
I saw quite a lot of critics comparing Juno to Little Miss Sunshine. Well.... Far from been as good as Little Miss Sunshine It's sweet and cute but not all that. Just nice and easy but I wouldn't rate it as very good

little miss sunshine has the advantage that it's about this little girl. This has a huge lovable factor, that's why people say little miss sunshine is better (mostly woman )
haven't seen both though

No I really really liked Juno! Especially the soundtrack in combination with the movie! I really liked the humour, the actors, the soundtrack, Juno's parents and the whole atmosphere of the movie! 9/10

Well not only and that's what I liked about Little Miss sunshine. If it would have been only about the little girl, I would probably have find it too cheesy. What I liked was that you get really attached to each member of the familly and their relation with the little girl and also that sweet craziness that they all have inside themself So no, in my opinion, if Little Miss sunshine was so lovable, it is not only about the little girl (although she is the center of the story) but overall about her familly and their different unic personalities

Well...
I've finally watched it, I was convinced by a very nice, special and lovely girl to do so and I really liked the movie
It's not a very layered story, which is nothing to worry about in this case, because Juno has one really big advantage; it's funny. Not the laughing out loud kind of funny, but the kind of funny that has you smiling for an hour after it's finished, because you just remembered a nice piece of dialog or a great, well-timed remark
8/10!
Spoiler:
/edit: Another good thing was the nice guy (parent to be) turning out to be not so very nice after all

who compared it to Little Miss Sunshine in the first place,... someone who enjoys Tom Cruise movies no doubt. ellen page is hella cool with her bump (i feel like i'm a planet) and michael cera shows a different side than he does in superbad (i try to be really hard to be cool actually). but it's really the parents who steal the show in this movie. the stepmom and juno's dad are really cool about the sticky situation and there are even moments where they feel comfortable joking about the situation. the adoptive parents are... well... cliche. and juno's best friend is down right annoying... jesus why did they write her in in the first place.
a great storyline written by an ex-stripper (wasn't she?) and good casting too.
i cried the first time i saw juno. i just felt it, you know. second time i watched it, i laughed a lot. and the third time i watched i was like, hey, that's a nice soundtrack.
hopefully next movie ellen page finally gets a role her OWN AGE!
