here we go again... a sincere highlight of utter disgust, another hiddeous atrocity that has to be seen to be believed! and at the same time a really deep psychologic intriguing piece of work...

an (VERY) obscure Belgian (!!!) arthouse film that contains bestiality (hence the popular title "the pig fucking movie"), the real killing of living farm animals, coprophagia (the consumption of ones own faeces!!!) and the existance of man-pig hybrids... to name just a few!!! It's actually a love story, between a guy... and his pig!!! a most a peculiar movie with no dialogues, on 35 mm film... banned in several countries worldwide.... starring Dominique Garny as the Farmer and some farm animals and several suffocating doves!

The film has a very incoherent plot structure, and is difficult to describe chronologically due to several strange and often random scenes interweaved into the overall story. Such displays consist of the farmer fastening doll heads to pigeons, cutting off the head of a chicken, and collecting strange materials in jars.

A farmer, who may be the last person on Earth, lives on a rural farm in Belgium, and falls in love with his huge sow. After bonding with her in several strange ways, such as rolling in manure with her, he finally decides to culminate the relationship. After which, the sow gives birth to human/pig hybrids, whom the farmer immediately tries to bond with. He tries to feed them all, but they all try to leave to be with their mother. Jealous, the farmer hangs all of them. When she discovers that her children are dead, the sow runs away in grief and falls into a mud pit, where she drowns.

The farmer begins to look for his love, and when he finds her, he becomes overcome in sadness. He drags the sow out of the hole and buries her back at the farm, and subsequently tries burying himself along with her. When this fails, he decides that his life is also over, and begins destroying every important aspect of his life, including the strange jars that he collects throughout the film. After his breakdown, he oddly begins making tea out of his feces and urine, which he consumes wholeheartedly, and immediately becomes sick. Finally, he hangs himself off a ladder, which is the last image of the film.

Zeno's intelligence is evident in terms of approach, but who in the world wants to watch a man sodomizing a pig, indulging in a coprophagic banquet of porcine feces, and suffocating doves? An excellent question for the European journalists who praised this film as an existential masterwork. This film is totaly unfindable... there is no VHS release, no DVD release that I know of... only a poor quality eMule-download, but it doesn't matter... this film in digital quality would be over the top and I think it would even lesser the depressive feel this movie gives you!!! and really... do you actually WANT more detail in this movie? I think NOT!!!







INCREDIBLE PIECE OF INTRIGUING TRASH THIS ONE IS!!! sick, harsh and vile... yet fascinating psychological!

a rare Belgian cinematic oddity, only topped in viewerdisgust by Pier Paulo Passolini's "Salò - o el 120 giornate di sodoma"' and maybe Lucifer Valentine's "Slaughtered Vomit Dolls"



8/10... but only for sick people and cult freaks!!!

a petition to try to enforce a dvd relase should be started!
