everybody knows the soft-erotic movieseries "Emanuelle"... but this episode in the series directed by the ever so infamous Joe D'Amato is NO DOUBT the pearl in Emanuelles oyster ( )!!! Starring B-film queen Laura Gemser as the black Emanuelle and notorious Bad Taste actor Gabriele Tinti as (one of ) her lover(s) and tribal expert!!!

The movie starts with scenes from a mental hospital, where a nurse gets a tit bitten off by a young cannibalistic mental patient there! Emanuelle, a journalist, who is there undercover pretending to be a mental patient as well, uses her famous masturbationtechnique to interrogate the young flesheater, but gets no information... except for a tattoo wich belongs to an Amazone tribe of cannibals, believed to be extinct for over 50 years already! so... OFFCOURSE Emannuelle sets up an expedition to travel to the jungle and find out what's going on there! There awaits a gruesome adventure of flesheating, sacred rites and walking around naked!!!

the movie starts out rather slow, with lots a lots a LOTS A softcore sexscenes and masturbationscenes... which are brought in a pretty stylish and tasteful manner! the gore starts when they find the tribe of cannibals, and comes in plenty!!! bodies severed, intestants pulled out and eaten, nipples bitten off, rape by the entire tribe... it's all in there!!!

the acting is -very suitable- BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAD!!! the story is WEAK, the dubbing retarded and the girls are pretty hairy!!!

oh... and this movie contains a cigarette smoking monkey... (er no, a smoking ape actually, because it's a chimpansee), for no apparent reason! Emanuelle and a blonde girl are washing each other in a lake and the ape appears, steals a cigarette and smokes it! THE BRILLIANCE OF IT ALL!!!




and OH, JOY ABOVE ALL JOYS... the DVD contains the entire soundtrack!!!



couldn't find a trailer, only the opening credits...



not as shocking as Ruggero Deodato's "Cannibal Holocaust", but definately sexier and mosdef more funny... I'd give it a 7.5/10, looking at it from the B side of cinematics!!!
