Also known in France as "Les Têtes Brulées", the show was created in 1976 by Donald P. Bellisario. Does this name recall you something ? Bellisario is also the creator of the excellent show "NCIS" !

Baa Baa Black Sheep was the story of Gregory Boyington, ace pilot of the US Marines (he really existed and really was an ace), and his team. The TV Show was actually inspired from the eponym book written by "Papy" Boyington. A lot of historical war pictures and movies were used to make the show and, when I was a child, it was a real delight for me to see those F4-U Corsair flying.

As far as I know, it is the only show were you could see so many air fights (I remember seeing a few in J.A.G but not that much).
