I didn't read the book from Lemony Snicket so I dont know how good the adaptaption is

Lots of good things and good ideas in this movie
I really liked the visuals effects and the atmosphere which reminded me of Tim Burton movies. This was really nice

Regarding the characters, the adult characters are perfect, not too exagerated (which is what I normally hates with Jim Carrey), this was also good

But the children, jezzzz how boring they are, they lack expressions, emotions, it is almost like they are bored. They are cute but seem to be very bad directed, and they remain really unexpressive when things happen
This was really a down side for me

Could have been much better but ok, a nice and easy movie

I would give it a 7/10

I really HATE Jim Carry movies, but this one I could stand! an akward movie, dark yet funny, easy to swallow but not fastfood-easy...

i give it (a little flattured perhaps) 7/10!

Even in Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind? I also normally dont like him that much but in Eternal Sunshine, he is very good I thought
